Rachel Fowden-Hulme

Researcher, The George Institute for Global Health Rachel works part time as a researcher at Imperial on the Wellcome Trust funded 'MESSAGE' project, and is a research assistant at the George Institute, a global health focused research institute ranked in the top 10 research institutions globally .

About this speaker

Rachel has been tutoring for over 10 years and is passionate about supporting students with academic improvement, applications and competitions.

Rachel has a 1st Class Undergraduate degree from Oxford in Anthropology, and an MA with Distinction from King's in International Political Economy.

Rachel's professional background is in the social sciences and she has worked in the City as a Senior Consultant for Deloitte and as a Senior Policy Adviser in the Cabinet Office and Energy Department of the UK Government. 

During the pandemic Rachel decided to retrain as a Doctor and achieved top decile scores in the GAMSAT and UCAT and is now a penultimate year Graduate Entry Medical Student at St George's, University of London - the UK's longest established graduate retraining programme. Rachel is ranked top of her cohort and has achieved multiple awards, prizes and distinctions for academic primary care, clinical exams, haematology, pathology, immunology and research.
