About this speaker
With rapid changes in healthcare and education, ensuring equitable distribution is increasingly essential. Laila, born and raised in Jordan, holds a BA in Psychology/Neuroscience from UC Berkeley and an MS in Global Health Sciences from UC San Francisco. Appointed by Stanford University’s Office of the President, she established and led the University’s response to the global displacement crisis, creating a program that enabled Stanford students to partner with high school students in Syria to support them with college admissions. She later contributed to expanding Stanford Medicine’s presence in the MENA region.
Laila’s passion for youth inspired her to focus on college admissions. Over the past five years at Crimson, she has held various roles, including Strategist, Regional Team Lead for the Middle East & Africa, and now Senior Strategist. She has helped students gain admission to numerous prestigious universities, such as Stanford, Harvard, Yale, UC Berkeley, Columbia, and other top 15 universities.
