About this speaker
Dr. Huckstein's thesis work focused on immune-mediated mechanisms of lung damage during influenza infection, and whether metabolism-targeting drugs could improve outcomes. Before joining St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as a PostDoc, Brydie was awarded an NIH F31 fellowship to support her research and was named a University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Honoree. She published 14 scientific research articles during her undergraduate and graduate studies. Most recently, she received a fundable score for an NIH F32 award, which will fund her postdoctoral research focused on different aspects of influenza-induced lung damage.
